Last full month of summer vacation.
It will be a bunch of pictures today.
In the morning, Kai and I played Wicked Monopoly, after having been playing Sorry for the past 2 or 3 weeks, it felt good to make a change.
We had been wanting to head to Merrimac to take the ferry sometime this summer. In Madison it was rainy, but if you went a half hour north, it was not rainy, and even the sun came out.
On the way over, we were amused by the this large load that basically cut off the round-about. After about 3 minutes, it made its way up and over. Nothing got damaged.
At the ice cream spot while we wait for the ferry to head across Lake Wisconsin.
| I like this blueberry ice cream cone - you can't get this flavor at Woodman's (I have looked for it) |
...then took it back.
Kai and Heidi had a photo contest.
Afterwards we went to the playground and the Wisconsin River overlook in Prairie du Sac. This has always been a nice place to be. Nice, clean, new --- about 5 years old. It was a pandemic favorite.
In the evening we met our co-workers at the Memorial Union. Heidi, Kai, Samantha and Jessica went in to do the craft.
Trying to climb the big chair.
Right before sunset.
This was one of our better summer days.
